A  long time ago, I had a proof-of-concept add-on that would avoid the
cost  overhead  of the upgrade while solving the multi-HELO problem. I
never  bothered  polishing  it  up  and  coming out with it, because I
standardized on using outbound gateways everywhere instead.

How many of you affected by this issue would be interested?
