Hi Tom,
Based on what I've read on this list, and my own experience, some things to
watch out for are:
1) Web Templates. you must upgrade your web templates to 6.02 along with the
rest of Imail or it won't work right
2) Make sure you apply the 6.02 patch over the 6.01 upgrade CD. That will
fix some POP3 problems found in 6.01
3) Make sure your server configurations are correct in 4.06 before upgrading
the 6.02. Mine weren't (for example, the machine name of the mail server wasn't
the same as the primary Imail hostname, and I hadn't done the workaround by
resolving the primary Imail hostname to its IP address in the HOSTS file. As a
result, after the upgrade, when I made some changes, I lost my primary mail host
and all of my 2000 users! Thank goodness I made a backup before upgrading and I
could get them back.)
4) Backup your Imail registry before upgrading, and do the upgrade at night
in case something goes wrong
