Well,  it's worked a charm for us in dozens of installs and I stick by
it.

Nonetheless,  byte-level  replication  with  WAN  compatibility  *has*
become  a  bit  of  a  commodity of late -- there are lots of apps out
there  that  do  that  part  now.  The  rest  is failure detection and
triggering  failover  intelligently.  I  end up writing my own scripts
most  of  the  time to get more granular app-level control and protect
against  false  negatives/positives,  so DT's built-in polling is only
part  of  the  setup. Gotta lab this stuff, have a firmer grip of your
requirements. Please express in more detail what "redundancy" means to
_you_.
