Yes... I READ the setting very CAREFULLY (and knew very well what it said
and what that NORMALLY means)...
The problem was that I had forwarded an image and it showed up as a linked
attachment rather than displaying.
Is there a reason for that or just the nature of the app?

Bryan,
READ the setting more carefully! It says 'Text Attachments'
and this setting
has NO effect on graphic attachments. Browser setting would
be the likely
place to configure it to show graphics within the message.
Mine does show
graphics, that the browser recognises, but cannot show ones
in formats that
the browser does not know how to handle (ie, a .tif).
