I have a problem with the Imail Version 6.0.2.365, I can set up accounts just fine and mail to the accounts on the server just fine. The problem I have is when a mail is replied to from my server mail account to another's ISP account. To clear this up let me put it like this; The server I run the Imail server from will pass all mail accounts that are created within Imail remotely or other. For the sake of simplicity I will call the Imail accounts [EMAIL PROTECTED] . I assign myself an e-mail name of [EMAIL PROTECTED] and can send a mail to that address from my other computer using my ISP's assigned e-mail name that has a separate IP address and retrieve it from anywhere (friends house). However, if I reply to my ISP's assigned e-mail name using my Imail account the mail remains in Queue and then gets sent to the Imail postmaster account as undeliverable. This happens to any ISP assigned e-mail address that I try or even Hotmail address but remote users receive their mail from my server using the @blah.com assignment. I am not a guru at SMTP but if mail is deliverable using the blah.com accounts to each other remotely what is stopping the blah.com accounts from sending to accounts not retained on my server. I have read the help pages and to be quit honest, there is so much information that I have become confused and frustrated by trying the things I am capable of doing. Although the solutions are detailed they lack any direction for a person that does not understand all the technical concepts of setting up this mail server from a troubleshooting perspective. System; NT 4.0 ISP - Cable 'Road Runner' Using TZO as a DNS host IP will only change if I am off the system for more than 4 hours and lose my IP lease otherwise the IP has not changed in 3 months. Working web service of www.ny.tzo.com using Xitami as a web server. Thanking you all in advance, I am, Sincerely, Harry Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
