>I cant send out email to any other isp email address.

What is the error msg returned to the msg sender? what is in the smtp log?

>I can send mail to
>other users on the system from a remote location using the pop and smtp
>settings but any user on the imail system cant send out email to cyberspace
>address e.g.. [EMAIL PROTECTED] but can send mail from
>[EMAIL PROTECTED] to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

If Imail has not been give the address of a valid DNS server, then Imail
cannot find the ip addresses to which to send mail. What is the DNS
setting on the controlpanel:imail:smtp page?

>I don't understand what is wrong. I am sure its something to do with the
>smtp.

probably not, more than likely it's DNS.

>I am on a dialup connection and need to run imail for an organization.
>My IP addressing changes every time I schedule the server to dialup and send
>outgoing mail outside the network.

Oher mail servers need to know a fixed ip address, obtained from DNS, for
Imail. If Imail doesn't have a fixed ip address, then Internet cannot
deliver mail. Ask you ISP to use one of his fixed ip addresses in a
store-and-forward role on your behalf, then use telnet and ETRN command to
retrieve mail when on-line. See Imail manual, p.43.
