They said it's an open-relay. I have about 5 address ranges in the local
address table. When I run open relay tests myself (from sam spade) it shows
as being open, too. Can't figure out what's wrong.

What address ranges are you allowing? Usually MAPS will tell you
why you are in the RBL. It is not always for relaying. Did they
happen to mention why?
