OK, I've held back as long as I can stand it. I don't want any crap from
anyone about this either, our new server is literally sitting on the floor
next to my desk waiting on a drive so we can load it.

So here goes.

PENTIUM (remember those) 166, 64mb, just under 2000 users, 200+ domains. CPU
runs about 20-30%, memory runs 45-55MB under MOST conditions. It gets loaded
periodically, but overall runs VERY well. Web messaging does the most
damage.

I will now brace myself for the coming onslaught of rebukes... ;)

Subject: [IMail Forum] Memory requirements

Considering building a new imail server. What is the recommended amount of
memory for IMAIL?

Which service is the most demanding of memory? SMTP, POP, IMAP, etc...

Thanks.
