mborman,
The sysMMDD.txt file contains lines with these keywords:
ldeliver (local deliver to Imail local mail account, incoming smtp )
rdelvier (remote smtp deliver by Imail directly to somewhere, outgoing smtp)
gdeliver (remote smtp delvier by Imail indirectly thru Gateway MTA,
outgoing smtp)
These lines contain all you need to caculate the smtp traffic in/out, qty
of messages, qty of bytes, Imail local sender, remote recipient.
You might get some ideas from my little
effort: www.MEIway.com/IMDeliver There, I usr PERL to extract the data
rdeliver/ldeliver data from sysMMDD.txt and write it to a ";" delimited
file, suitable for importing into your favorite databae, from which you can
generate reports.
