Did you change the IP address from the old to the new Mail server? Usually, you have to allow specific IP *AND* ports to go through the firewall. We just setup Imail 6 evaluation version and it is great, except we can't check or send email from behind our proxy server. The Imail server is on the web side of the proxy server and we are trying to send and receive from behind the firewall. This has been working for the past couple of years with our old email server and we are still able to send and receive email from that one through the firewall. The other email server is setup like Imail, on the web side of the firewall. This tells me that ports 110 and 25 are opened and functioning through the firewall, but not with Imail. The firewall is Microsoft Proxy Server 2 and we use the Winsock Proxy Client for connectivity through the firewall. If anybody has any suggestions that we could try, please let us know. We would really like to purchase this fine email server and get rid of the old software that lacks the security features offered by Imail. But first, we must solve this riddle and be able to retrieve our email. Also, several of our clients are behind other MSP 2 firewalls elsewhere on the web. We will need to know that they can connect as well.
