This kind of question comes up all the time in the Cold Fusion list.
Access is a desktop db that craps out bad when it has too many simultaneous
users, like maybe 10, connecting to it's "file shared" .mdb's. MS's ODBC
for Access has a long, sad history under CF, another multi-user app.
I predict that a mail accnt base of 40K will require many more than 10
users trying to authenticate simultaneously into ODBC/ Access. ie,
"Houston, we gotta a pb"
For that kind of traffic, you NEED ODBC into SQL Server. And you need to
get Mike Nices's much-improved ODBC driver for Imail/SQL server, NOT
Ipswitch's ODBC.
