IMGate runs on FreeBSD (or Linux). I don't think the common AV gateway
products for scrubbing Windows and DOS proggies runs on these open source
platforms.
I see Imail and IMgate as "infrastructure" programs meriting their own
hardware platforms and redundancy.
Virus-scanning is on a ladder rung down and I wouldn't want to mix it in
with the others, esp since hw is so cheap.
