I upgraded from 4.07 to 6.02 in about 15 minutes
with no trouble whatsoever. I just put the CD in the server - it autoran
the setup, stopped the services, installed the update, then rebooted.
When it came back up, it ran perfectly. I don't have that many users,
but I have several hundred spread through about 40 domains.
I also applied the 6.03 patch and it also went
without a hitch.
The new webmail templates are very nice (with
minor (IMHO) Issues.)
Of course, I had a full backup of the IMail
directories and the registry keys for IMail, just in case - but didn't need
them (knock on wood!)
