Jim,

That is not normal response! You should be able to type in the box normally
and use standard methods for editing. What Service Pack is installed on this
PC? We did notice some display problems in IMail Administrator with SP3. I
use SP4 (don't ask) but most people today use SP6a.

If you check the \imail\web directory, the file, MailNews.txt, is the file
used for news. You can just open it and edit, too. If you still see the same
strange editing problem, then something is wrong with Notepad (or the editor
your system uses for .txt files) or your system.

Subject: [IMail Forum] problem editing news of the day

Greetings,
I have downloaded an Eval version of Imail and am testing it over our
Intranet. So far, everything I've tested has run very smoothly. ODBC,
Importing users, renaming mailboxes, using the web interface, etc. went
without a hitch. Very Impressive. I do have a problem with the news of the
day dialogue box. When I type, there are letter dropouts, some letters just
won't type in, and there is no backspace to redo. I have to manually select
the test then hit the delete key. Is there something that I'm missing with
this feature or is it a known bug.... with a fix, hopefully?? Thanks for all
your help.
                             Jim
