Hello imailers,
I administrate a Listserver, and just switched to using iMail Version 5. I
have a few questions...
1) The iMail Listserver signup requires the subscriber to return a message
to subscribe, how can I make this the case on my list? I believe it will
help stop spamming, correct?
2) I have set up a new account in Outlook Express as WebMaster so would
receive the messages of who subscribed, etc. The problem I am having is that
"WebMaster" is not a subscriber to the list, so I cannot post to the list as
I have it set up that only members can post. So I subscribed, but now, I get
2 copies of each message. It would seem that I either need to keep my
"WebMaster" account from receiving ALL of the messages, or make it so
WebMaster can post to the list. What do I do?
3) As I mentioned above, I am set up as WebMaster and I get a message when
someone subscribes, but I don't get one when someone un-subscribes. Why? Is
there a way to make this happen?
4) Is there a document that tells you what all of the different types of
"Bounced" messages mean. I have gotten about 5 different types of messages
that have not been sent to the list for one reason or another, is there
anything to tell me what I can do about the problems?
5) These bounced messages all come FROM or TO different places or under
different names. Is there some way of filtering ALL of them so they can be
placed into 1 administration mailbox? I have gotten messages from
Postmaster, Mail Delivery Subsystem, and Listserver. Can these be grouped
together by the system?
Thanks,
Hal Roenick
