On the Qualcomm Eudora webpages I just read:
"New things for eudora.ini" in 4.3 release:
------------------------
SmtpAuthBanished [default is none banished]
The value should be a comma-separated list of SMTP authentication schemes
whose use is to be disallowed. Users who are especially concerned about
security should set it to "LOGIN,PLAIN", as this ensures that your SMTP
server password will always be strongly encrypted when it goes over the
network. Users of IPSWITCH's Imail SMTP server should set it to "CRAM-MD5"
so as to avoid a bug of theirs.
-------------------------
Perhaps this was mentioned on this list before and I didn't notice.... I
apologize then.
But the "... as to avoid a bug of theirs (Ipswitch)" .... makes me think
(again).
As far I learned from Ipswitch's "tech support", there... are no bugs in
Imail, are there ?
:-)
