The clue to this is: Only the 'moderator' gets the message (means that the
list does  not think this sender is the moderator). That tells me the
address shown in the moderator field is NOT the same as the sender is using
(for his return address).

If the moderator field shows '[EMAIL PROTECTED]', but my client uses the
return address of  '[EMAIL PROTECTED], or [EMAIL PROTECTED], neither
matches, so the list thinks I'm not the moderator. Even though both of my
'addresses' may  deliver email to my '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' account.

I'm guessing that if it works from the IMail Web Messaging, the return
address at that program is is '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' (most likely) and
that is what the moderator is set for. However, the client is probably using
the address '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' as its return address and since that does not
match the moderator field, it gets sent to the moderator (both addresses
resolve/deliver email  to the same mailbox!).
