Roger,
1. No, just setting up a user account will not cause the system to POP to
another server and get the mail. IMail does not have a programatic method of
getting POP3 mail from another server. You would have to use the IMail
Client on the IMail Server to access the remote POP3 server and then
download mail from the remote to the IMail account.
2. IMail has command line utilities (adduser, for example) that can read a
file and add user accounts. Of course your other mail server must be able to
export that informatin and you may have to manipulate the file before using
with Adduser. Imail can also export to a text file, information about its
user accounts, but passwords are not part of that export.
Not sure what a 'container' is in Exchange, so cannot answer that question.
If it means a users mail store (mailbox), that would depend on how Exchange
stores messages. IMail uses a single text file (main.mbx) to store all the
users mesages.
