I posted this problem a couple of months back, but never got an answer.
Maybe someone can help me out this time.

Since we switched to IMail 6 we have a problem with MS Outlook 97 clients
(not sure about others, everyone here uses OL97). Some essages sent to
several addresses arrive at the destination with the following message in
the body:

"This message could not be converted. To report this problem to Microsoft,
please forward this message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]"

A file "MESSAGE.TXT" is attached to the message.

Microsoft's Knowledge Base suggests that the recipient save the attachment
using a .EML extension, and then open it in Outlook Express. This is, of
course, not an acceptable solution, since it occurs fairly frequently. They
also state that this most often occurs in messages with a blank "Reply to:"
field. (Not the case here) That's all they really say about the bug. (The
address [EMAIL PROTECTED] doesn't exist.)

I know that the "To:" line in the bad messages is wrapping at 256
characters - it doesn't in good messages. I'm not sure if this is happening
on the sending or recieving end. (I'm guessing it's at the sender/server
end.) Ipswitch says this is a Microsoft problem, as evidenced by the error
message. However, we never had this problem when we used Sendmail under RH
Linux, and our other division running Exchange Server never had this
problem. I will probably be dumping IMail if I can't get this resolved, even
though I think it's a good mail server in most other respects. I'm getting
too much pressure to fix the problem. So this is my last shot at it.

Has anyone seen this before? Any insight or help would be appreciated.
