Hi,

I just posted a message about a Mail Relay problem.
This is exactly what happens.

If I turn OFF Mail Relay (or at least leave it for known IP addresses), and if I dial
into the internet via some public portal (and get assigned another IP address):
1) If I set up my mail client with "My Outgoing Mail Server Requires Authentication"
then upon trying to send mail, I get the error: "The TCP/IP Connection was
unexpectedly terminated by the server".

2) If I set up my mail client with no SMTP Authentication (ie. the above option is not
ticked) then I get the usual "not a gateway" error.

If I turn ON the Mail relay (ie. I don'ty disable it) on the server, then if the mail
client has SMTP Auth turned on, I get that strange "TCP/IP Connection Terminated"
error again.

The only time it works, is if I leave MAIL RELAY on (but I am still on the ORBS list
because of this :-(, and I leave no SMTP Auth on the client.

What should I do?

thanks,
Marcin

PS - assume that some users which need access to mail have DHCP given IP addresses
which I never know what they are.
