It would be extremely difficult for the mail server to accidentally alter an encoded
attachment (especially if it only happens to certain file types).
My first suggestion would be to use PKZIP to ZIP a group of files (maybe a meg or so).
Send it as an attachment, and use PKUNZIP -T to test to see if the file came was
altered in any way.
I would also try sending a WordPerfect file to 2 different E-mail addresses (one using
the IMail server, and another not using IMail) to help narrow it down to the IMail
server.
The next step would be to compare the attached file to the original file, and see
exactly what is different.
