Tracey,

Stopping the Web Messaging Service does not have any effect on POP3 service.
The only time I have ever seen one affecting the other (including IMAP4
service), in any way, is when a maibox gets locked (by one of the services
when it is manipulating the mailbox) and the lock is not removed (user may
not have 'logged out', so the mailbox stays locked for a while, 1/2 to 1
hour).

Does the Andromeda product have anything to do with email? If it is not
running, does the system have the same problem? Have you checked the IMail
logs after the Web stops to see what it shows? How about your systems Event
logs?

If the system was a V5.0x and updated to V6.0x, I would recommend you get
the V6.0 templates and install them.
ftp.ipswitch.com\ipswitch\product_support\imail\tmplt602.zip is the one to
use. Rename the \imail\web dir, create a new one, then unzip the file into
that new \web directory. Stop/start the Web MSG service and retest.
