Make sure that the "IMonitor" service is running. That's the most likely culprit.

If it is running, what happens when you try going to port 8383? Do you get anything?
Does it time out? Typing "netstat -a -n" from the DOS prompt should show a
"LISTENING" line with a "local address" line with your IP address followed by ":8383".
If that is there, IMail is listening on the port but isn't responding properly. If
the line is missing, then IMail isn't listening on the port (IE something failed
before IMail could start listening on the port).

Platform: Windows 2000 Advanced Server w/ IMail 6.02 Eval. on a Dual 400 w/
256 MB ram

Scenario: All web messaging functions work, except for the administrative
functions via the 8383 interface. However the administrative functions on
8181 function flawlessly.

Has anyone else encountered this issue and/or know a solution? It basically
nullifies the ability for me to have client administered mail hosts.

Thanks,
-Dave
