Andy,

Indeed, that message was the Microsoft SMTP services error. Through Len's
suggestion I found additional information in the Imail Log files.

The Microsoft SMTP services have been on port 26, the Imail 25. I am now
getting an error whcih indicated port 25 is locked and Imail cannot bind to it.

Now I'm working on identifying what has that port locked and fixing it.

Any suggestions are welcome.

That message is apparently by the IIS SMTP server which you seem to be
running. If you are NOT using it for anything on a DIFFERENT port, then may
be it interferes with the port 25?
