Hi Jacques,

If you just want to use the CDO COM object to send mail then I do not think
you need to have the SMTP service running at all because the library has the
inbuilt ability to send the email. We run the CDO object on some web servers
for customers and we do not run the SMTP service at the same time. If you
have a MS development tool such as interdev or VC++ you should be able to
check that the objects are on your system and installed correctly.

Subject: [IMail Forum] CDONTS.newmail

Does anyone have a solution to run Microsoft SMTP server along with imail
SMTP. I need the microsoft one for the CDONTS.newmail function. Or does
imail have a "plugin" or some other solution for this? I have tried to
change outgoing port to 26 (was unused) in the microsoft setup. But it still
does not work correctly.
