Two different protocols and servers, both defined in DNS:
1. To get smtp mail delivered to xyz.com
xyz.com MX 10 mail.xyz.com
mail.xyz.com MX 10 mail.xyz.com
xyz.com A ip.ad.re.s2
mail.xyz.com A ip.ad.re.s2
2. To point the http browsers to the right ip address for your
general-purpose web server:
xyz.com A ip.ad.re.s1
www.xyz.com A ip.ad.re.s1
and to point the http browsers to the right ip adress for web server of Imail:
webmail.xyz.com A ip.ad.re.s2
or whatever hostmname you want to call the Imail http server, which is
totally different hostname and function from the mail hostnames behind the
@. So you don't have to modify with the mail hostnames within Imail.
