We are using IMAIL v5.x. We want to use External Database property of Imail
with MS SQL Server 7.0. But we have problem using odbcuser.dll. Because
original dll doesnt support SQL 7.0.
We just tried Mike Nice's odbcuser.dll that downloaded from
http://home.worldnet.att.net/~niceman/ . But we couldn't succesful again.
Our installation order is like below:
first, we created a database named "IMAILSECDB" on SQL, with a table named
"tufan_com" which is contain fields (USERID, PASSWORD, FLAGS ....)
1 - Install the IMAIL 5,0x
2 - Setting Host Name "tufan.com"
2 - Setting Ext. DB options
3 - Setting Data Source Name: IMAILSECDB
As Nice's wrote in text that comes with his modified ODBCUSER.DLL
4. Made a backup copy of our existing \IMAIL\ODBCUSER.DLL file.
5. Stoped all IMail services and the IMail administrator.
6. Copied the enclosed ODBCUSER.DLL into \IMAIL
7. Restarted IMail.
8 - We wrote the table name "devrim_com" in IMail Admin Conf. window
And when we want to create a user it hangs & down. Nothing was changed.
Could you help us ?
