Should a virtual hosted client use my main mail server name as their SMTP
server?

Scenario:

My IMail install on one server as mail.mydomain.com.

Virtual Host SMTP server: Should it be mail.mydomain.com or
mail.theirdomain.com?

I noticed that when I turned on Verify Sender, that anyone using
mail.theirdomain.com could not send mail through my SMTP server. I
considered this strange because both my main mail server and virtual hosts
are on the same machine.

Is this right? Am I experiencing a bug?

Thanks
