There is a way to keep all DNS entries in a "boot file" rather than in the
Registry as it defaults to. All you need to do is have a boot file called
'boot.dns' located in the c:\winnt\system32\dns folder. MS provides an
example of this file already. Then you need to either REMOVE or change the
value to 0 of the registry key

HKEYLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\DNS\Parameters\EnableRegistryBoot
