Hi!

We just recently switched over to IMail from Netscape Messaging server.
We have been very pleased with the transition so far, but there is one
problem that is becoming annoying... The problem is, it takes a few
seconds for the username and password exchange when checking/downloading
mail. Before, that process was pretty much instantaneous. I also have
a couple of Outlook express users who don't have this problem, and one
of them even checks a hotmail account in addition to the on-campus
account, and it's still faster than what everyone else is experiencing.

Everyone is using Netscape Mail for the mail client, and it seems to be
the only client with this problem. Why is it now doing this? What was
happening between Netscape client and server that made it faster? And
why is Outlook still so much faster than Netscape now?

Thanks,
Ronnie
