The question is not really about IMAP vs POP3.

The Eudora client can use either of the above protocols. It does not
make any difference to IMail. If you think of the browser access as
just another protocol like POP3 or IMAP4, then you might have a
better perspective. In all access methods, IMail is manipulating a
file called main.mbx, which Eudora will see as the 'inbox'. 

'What would he see', well that is a bit hard to describe, but easy
to see yourself. In a browser type
'http://your_mail_servers_name:8383 and you will see a page asking
for the username and password. Type them in and you will eventually
see another page with a 'summary' of the email and some links for
managing the mailbox.
