I've set up a test listserv with 2 addresses on it. The mail server is NOT relaying any mail and it has a minimal number of total email accounts on the box. But when I send a message from the admin of this listserv to the list, suddenly 20 processes of SMTPd.exe /SMTP.exe are spawned. I've read through all the Knowledge base stuff and nothing applies to this. Any ideas?
Sounds wrong, you don't have any alias address loops? In the log file, "SMTPD" is the server, "SMTP-". What's the log file say?
There should be an "ldeliver" line at the end of each successful delivery by "SMTP-" process.
