I am a novice to
Imail and have a couple of questions regarding volume of users. Here
goes,
Imail 6.04 is to be
installed on a Pent III 650 with 256 megs memory running Win2K. The
motherboard is capable of running two processors, but will initially have only
one....
A: In your
experience, what is the number of users/domain names we
can expect to host using the Imail db before performance becomes
an issue?
B: Is there a
migration path/procedure to export the user db from the Imail db to SQL or
equivalent when the time comes?
Initially, we will
have about 150 domains and 3 to 4 hundred users. Most of the domains will
have only one email address with the "nobody" alias setup to forward all
incoming email. We expect that only 25% of the users will use webmail, the
rest will pop in.

PS. We plan on
setting up one ip number and the rest of the domains as
virtuals...
