We have a database server that builds and send email messages to/from
different users.
Works fine and the email is all sent to IMail first which then relays it on.
The DB Server never logs in to IMail it just connects to IMail and sends via
IMail.
Problem is when the mail is sent to an IMail account on the IMail server
then everything is OK but when the mail is relayed out to a third party
account the mail is recieved with all its details EXCEPT the FROM: address
is empty??
I can see the return path is set to the address which should be the FROM
address but he FROM: address is not there which makes it pretty useless as
the user cant hit reply as it comes up blank........
Anyone know what the problem is and how I might work around it...
