Roland:

The password readables is matter of the DB, not the Imail, once you set ext
database on de domain. You should use permissions to get this table 'open'or
'encrypted'

Hello,

we want to use an SQL database as user db for IMail server 6.04.
Tests with a Sybase ASA db via ODBC where successfull.
My problem: the passwords are stored readable in the database!
Is there a way to store the passwords encrypted?

second question: Has anybody experienced with an external ODBC db which
is located on a different machine from that, where IMail is installed?

Thanks in advance,
Roland Braun
