We've just installed IMail Server and are pretty happy with it so far. We're finding lots of ways to use the Information Manager features, but a user just put this problem to me: We've got an address that handles employment inquiries. It returns a standard response via the Information Manager then forwards the original message to someone in HR who decides whether further reply is necessary. We have another general information address. That one handles all kinds of messages about skiing conditions, lodging, travel arrangements, instruction, etc. It has its own Information Manager setup that replies and sends the message to someone in marketing. Some of the messages the marketing folks get are about employment. Those messages are fowarded to HR via the employment address. The auto response, of course, is returned to the marketing staff, NOT to the originator of the message. The information for the orginal sender is buried in the message header (I think?) so it seems like I should be able to write a rule that would manage getting an auto response sent to the orginator, but I can't see where to start.
