Eric's suggested solution works great. That's the way I've run
IMail 6.x from day-1.
While it takes careful reading of several sections of the IMail 6.x
manual, you can find everything you need there. I did it
successfully on the first attempt. I set it up with IPswitch's
internal certificate, then got a VeriSign certificate.
Result -- 100% secure web messaging (which I need for a healthcare
environment and communication among healthcare professionals
regarding confidential patient information).
Other than the IWEBMSG service going belly-up periodically (2 times
a month on average), I've had no problems with this arrangement.
