I've got a document from HP Sweden about building an "NT Bastion
host". ie, how to harden NT4. From 1999, a little dated but still
very useful. Email me if you want it.
For IDS, Black Ice and ZoneAlarm were supposed to have "server"
support, maybe they've got something by now.
Even just a port scanner like the quite nice one in www.NWPSW.com 's
NetScan Tools 4
can show you "stuff".
