Sifrael, There's a software add-on from Microsoft for your Exchange Server to collect POP3 mails from any external server and route them to their corresponding Exchange mailboxes. This subject has been covered before on this list. Check the list archives (see link at the end of this mail). Why don't you use the SMTP backup server procedure, assigning the internal (unreachable) Exchange Server as MX 10 and your external (available) IMail server as MX 20. Then, the mails could be collected at regulat intervals using ETRN from the Exchange server. See IPSwitch's knowledge base on the web or the IMail manual for details. We have an Imail 5.08 running on Internet with a perm connection and some other customer Mailhosts on it. We and also some of our customers have an internal Exchange Server 5.5 running. Nowadays we have the internal mails running over Exchange Server and get the POP3-Mail via POP3. As here in the region we have no ADSL we all only have dialup connections. Would it be possible to configure Imail and Exchange Server in a way that Imail stores all incoming Email from the Internet in one mailbox (using the nobody alias?) and then let the Exchange Server connect every 10 minutes during business time? How do you all solve this? Your help is very appreciated. Thanks in advance. Sifrael Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
