Just trying to better understand what's happening.

Since you installed Imail, you can now access the IIS web site on that server without providing a password although before you installed Imail the server required a username/password.  Is that correct?

IE can store the USERNAME/PASSWORD if you check the box. Maybe that is the problem. Try from an other Computer.

URGENT!!!!
All,
I'd recently installed IMail on one of our client's server and the installation went fine with an exception of one problem.
Before installation, I can access the server using IP from IE from anywhere, but it will ask me for a username/password to login. In other words, if I type in http:\\som.eip.add.res, it will pop up with a box asking for username/password authentication.
For some reason, most probably an error on my part, after I'd installed Imail 6.04 on the server, accessing the server via IP does not ask for the authentication anymore. I am pretty sure I did not change any settings on the server prior to installation, nor post install, and I'd even un-install IMail to see if that fixes the problem. Can someone help me out here and tell me if there's a fix for this?
I have to get this fix as most of my client's corporate database files are kept on this server.

Thanks
