Got sort of a weird header question. I'm running several gateways between
some genealogical usenet newsgroups and corresponding mailing lists hosted
by our organization.
Generally I want to ensure that all posts to our mailing lists from the
usenet, and from our mailing lists to the Usenet maintain the original FROM
header, but enables posts from the usenet to our mailing lists to pass
through a subscribers only secured list without getting bounced out because
the individual isn't a subscriber.
What I'd like to find out is this. Is it possible to make IMail read the
X-Sender header instead of the FROM header when it determines if it will
allow a post to be accepted by the mailing list?
I add the X-Sender header to all posts passing in through my gateway but
IMail doesn't seem to care about that header. Any ideas?
