RFC 2298 says that it should be empty in order to prevent mail loops but
Imail can be configured to reject null senders. Check your SMTP security
settings, if Refuse NULL <> Sender is checked then your server is the
problem (highly likely). Outlook is merely conforming to the RFC in this case.
