instead of triggering a false .mbx why not
just send a welcome message? this would create the directory as
well.

Another way you can go about it is to have a form that enters the users
data into the imail ODBC database. THen have a trigger on Insert that
creates a directory for the user, and copies a skeleton Main.mbx into the
dir. You can even have the Main.mbx contain a default welcome to
webmail message.
