No, I mean "disable smtp auth reporting". This does not disable the smtp
auth mechanism - it just tells the mail server not to report that it
supports it.
Most of my clients use Outlook Express - which doesn't care if the server
says it supports something or not, you just configure it to use smtp auth
and everybody is happy.
Don't know how it affects the folks that use Eudora, Netscape, etc... But
then, why would they use those clients? :)
