Gunnar,

Well, I used V6.05 and I could not duplicate this using IE or NS. In IE,
Refresh was the equivalent of Reload in NS and both brought me back to the
login screen and no other mail sent. In NS, (View, Refresh) did not seem to
do anything, except refresh the screen, staying at the same page.

Of course, V6.0 uses cmpletely different Web Templates, so I'm not surprised
it works differently.

You can get an eval copy of IMail V6 from the Ipswitch web site. Suggest you
try it on another computer, rather than your current mail server and
convince yourself.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Duplicate mail

When using 5.08 webmail, there is a good chance that you send duplicate mail
without knowing it. The prerequisite is that you configure your webmail
*not* to confirm sent messages.

When you hit the Send button, the mail gets sent and you immediately return
to the main page.

If you now (within 200 seconds) hit the browser 'Refresh' button, you'll
expect to refresh the main screen (at least I do.). But in reality you
refresh the mail send CGI script instead of the main page. You *do* get a
message saying that something will be re-sent, but it is in no way obvious
WHAT it is that is going to be re-sent. Every time you hit the refresh
button, you send a new copy of the mail you previously wrote.

Can someone please give a hint if this bug is corrected in some later
version of iMail? (later than 5.08 that is)

/Gunnar Carlson
