We are evaluating Imail 6.05 with intentions to purchase if this issue can be
resolved. Our version of Imail is running on a Windows 2000 server with SP1 and all
critical updates.
The issues we are having have been experienced by multiple users on multiple domains.
Certain users will not be receiving mail and at the same time not receiving any errors
on mail check. However, when they go out to their web based mail, they have messages
that have not been downloaded or read. Also, they eventually start receiving new
messages with these still being unread in web based. If a person who is not
experiencing the issue sets up that user's settings in their mail client, they are
able to pull down the messages.
Initially, i attributed this to some client configuration error. However, one of our
admins is the other person to experience this issue. The issue occurred to two users
on different domains, running different OS's(Mac and Win2k pro), 2 different mail
clients(Entourage(mac) and Outlook2000(win2kpro), with neither making any
configuration changes before or after this event.
This seems to be the only issues we have experienced with Imail and would commit to it
if this issue were resolved
