HANG ON FOLKS......I just installed this patch and now users who are listed in the
address file are no longer accepted and get an authentication error every time they
try to connect.
Error appears to be a CRAM MD 5 Error according to the Eudora error box. On the
server it just shows the connection.
12:12 20:55 SMTPD(76D60646) [209.144.22.2] connect 216.59.90.27 port 1099
12:12 20:55 SMTPD(76D60646) [216.59.90.27] EHLO GERRY_HOME.wts.net
More info when I have it. Just to be sure I sent some mail thru another non upadated
IMAIL server and it still works.
I am having to send this mail thru web mail until I can reload 6.01 and update back to
6.05.

Just saw the following on Ipswitch's update page. Is it time to call it

December 12, 2000 - SMTP, POP3 and IMAP4 Patch for IMail Server 6.05
This patch for IMail Server 6.05 fixes an SMTP AUTH Denial of Service
attack. The SMTP, POP3 and IMAP4 services are updated. It also fixes an
issue that could cause error emails to be corrupted and it prevents a
potential loop condition during the sending of email to an external server
if the connection is abnormally terminated.
This patch replaces all prior SMTP patches for 6.05 (imail605a.exe and
SMTPHF.exe).
