>There has got to be better security than all that has been discussed

There is, but you'll have to roll your own, I'm pretty sure (or pay
somebody to roll it)

>I don't mean that all of what you have mentioned is not effective.
>Certainly, if someone reads the logs, compares the systme files,
>finds the culprits, etc. ect. etc. ---"to death."

Are you having continuous, horrendous attacks from the "inside" ?

>Then we can eliminate internal spammers and external spoofers.

Relay highjacking is eliminated by requiring SMTP AUTH for all
senders relaying through Imail + relaying for addresses +
anti-ip-spoofing at the border router. Nothing "to death" about
that. It's automatic.

Spammers who spam from trusted ip's and/or after SMTP AUTH are harder
to detect but I haven't really seen a lot of complaints here about
that, so you problem is exceptional.

>But AT WHAT COST???? --- Pardon me for shouting, but I have to pay
>staff to review this information, compare one log to another, and all the rest.

Wait a minute, in the vast majority of cases, internal spamming
doesn't happen so spending manual resources to detect it is
dumb. Some rough, automatic detection mechanism could be set up that
signals manual intervention. Contact me privately if your people
don't know how to set this up.

No Imail6 does not do DNS validations. If you're on the smallish
side, Declude can handle that and other defenses, or if your msg
volume is on the large side, a IMGate will provide the best
complement for Imail you can find with no software expense. No,
Imail doesn't do it all, but what's missing is well within reach.

>Sorry, Charlie.......It's not good enough.
>The cost is $1503 for the basic, and another $453 for annual support
>(and yes, they answer the phone)........but to what point:????

I would say the vast majority of Imail users have been and are satisfied.

>I still spend hundreds of dollars on staff "looking and comparing logs"

To repeat, dumb. If you want to Get Smart about mail abuse
detection, contact me privately. I could use some of those hundreds.

> Is there a better one out there?????

There aren't a 1000 ISP-class Win32 integrated mail servers out
there. You can do a lot worse than Imail. Direct competition would
be stuff like MailSite / VOP / Postoffice/ commercial sendmail /
Exchange (www.serverwatch.com for others) plus the mostly free *nix
solutions. If it's not reviewed on serverwatch, you probably don't
want to touch it. imo, the Mercedes is the German product
CommuniGate Pro www.Stalker.com, and I don't remember seeing any
log-based abuse detection there.

>And if so.......... I want a refund !!!!!

Re-funds come from the seller. Some small funds can bring you a
solution. Contact me privately.
