Assuming no pb's with your DNS speed or pipe size, figure an avg of 
10 secs elasped time per msg for delivery.

10k msgs * 10 secs/msg = 100K secs

(100k Ksecs/jog) / (3600 secs/hr) = 27 hrs, Holy Cow!!

... but that's if you had only one SMTP client process doing the 
sending. If you had 27  SMTP processes, you'd be done in an hour.

ie, 10K msgs is really nothing to worry about.

btw, you could do this job with P200 and 128 megs of RAM.
