Greg,
Is the error showing SMTPD32.EXE or SMTP32,EXE? The 'D' is the SMTP service,
while the one without the 'D', is the SMTP delivery process. If SMTP32, make
sure you do not have any Aliases of the 'List' type, with more than 50 email
addresses.
